My Next Environment...

For my next piece I will  be creating a high poly version of the opening area from Metal Gear Solid. I have already started work on it today. Here Is were I am up to so far (water texture is a placeholder and not made by me).

Assassins Creed 2 Environment Section - Modelling

These are images of the level section. I have taken renders every 30 minutes. I'm still way to slow but I will speed up soon enough. Currently im reassembling it all in UDK and reapplying the materials.

Environment from...

I decided to start creating props or environment sections from different AAA titles a few days ago. My first one is Assassins creed 2.Who knows if i get enough followers I might get people to vote on my next game.

Individual Level Production

This is another university project that I did. The aim was create an environment section.
This is a render of the finished piece. The left shows the image with all map channels on. The right shows it with only lighting and normal.

This is a decal material that I made for the level.

Companion Cube from Portal

I got bored one evening and decided to make the weighted companion cube from Portal. I made a few changes to it and didnt really worry about the poly count as I see it as a main character in the game =P. It was also a good opportunity to practice my presentation skills.

Hi my name is Arran Langmead and I created this blog to show my work, how I progress and maybe even put up some tutorials eventually. I'm also doing this so I can document my journey into the games industry in a way that other people can look at easily (if anyone cares =P).
